Arpid was a horse thief captured in a horde camp and sentenced to death by Memnon.
Freeing of Arpid[]
When Mathayus and his half-brothers snuck into Memnon's camp to assassinate Cassandra, they came across Aprid tied up in the center of camp. Upon the opportunity for rescue, he boasted that there would be great riches upon his safe return. To which he was responded to by being silenced due to the fact that the Akkadians were trying to stay unnoticed, which didn't help in the long run because they had been betrayed. After the capture of Mathayus and the death of his half brothers, Mathayus had woken up, burried up to the neck in sand next to the horse theif he had encountered the previous night. Arpid then explains how he is about to escape when the gaurd goes to relieve himself and that Mathayus with die a horrible death for leaving him to die. Arpid manages to escape and overpower the gaurds, after which he tells Mathayus that he will save him if Mathayus lets him share the spoils his adventures, to which Mathayus agrees.
Thirst for Adventure[]
Mathayus and Arpid then travel to Memnon's capital city of Gomorrah in hopes of assasinating Memnon but instead of killing Memnon, he saves a child from having his arm chopped off. With the entire city knowing of his presence, Mathayus runs through the city, captures the Sorceress (Cassandra), and escapes into the desert. When in the desert, he defeats a group of Memnon's soldiers that had been following them and is stabbed with an arrow covered in scorpion poison. The arrow would have killed him, but Cassandra is able to save him with her magic. The next morning, they head towards the rebel camp and stay there for a time. Cassandra, fearing that Memnon is onto them, takes a horse and returns to Gamorrah. When Mathayus discovers this, he takes the horse of Balthazar and tries to exit the camp to stop Memnon but Balthazar himself stops him and says that he wants some of the glory for himself. Then Mathayus, Balthazar, Arpid, Philos, many of the female warriors, and the child Mathayus saved, head towards Gamorrah, where Mathayus kills Memnon and becomes the Scorpion King.
Spoils of Adventure[]
Seeing as how the Akkadian had promised Arpid a share in the spoils of his adventures and that he had just became a king, It wouldn't be too hard to believe that Arpid would get a fairly large sum of riches from Mathayus after the conclusion of The Scorpion King.
The End of Adventure[]
Seeing as how Arpid's friend is the King of an empire, it would make sense if he chose to reside in Mathayus' kingdom. Now, this story most likely occured somewhere around 3092 B.C and the next installment somewhere around 3082 B.C, and in that installment (The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption), it is explained that Mathayus' Kingdom fell after a plague manifested itself in the area. And because Arpid most likely lived in an extravagant house in the kingdom with a steady flow of income from Mathayus, it would be concievable for Arpid to be living there during the plague which probably occurred a couple years before the third Scorpion King, placing the death of Arpid somewhere around 3080 B.C.
