Thorak is the head of Memnon's army and the tertiary antagonist of The Scorpion King.
He is portrayed by Ralf Moeller.
Biography[]
Nothing about Thorak's past is known. Being possibly the second best warrior of "The Horde" he becomes the head of Memnon's army, the best of his generals and his second in command.
He is first seen after Mathayus tried to kill Memnon's Prophet, as he discovered that she is a woman (Cassandra). He takes the Akkadian by surprise and neutralizes him with his fellow soldiers. When Cassandra advises Memnon to spare Mathayus saying that he can not be killed by him, or by a hand he commands. Thorak knocks Mathayus unconscious, who was then buried by his neck in the desert to be devoured by fire ants, but manages to escape.
He is seen again with Takmet, when Memnon orders to them to inform Memnon's generals of their last campaign, and when their master trains to fight. He is seen next, chasing Mathayus in Gomorr when he tried to kill Memnon, but the Akkadian escapes with Cassandra. Later, Memnon orders to Thorak to take 12 of his best soldiers, to kill the Akkadian (giving him a poisoned arrow with venom scorpio) and to return Cassandra to the palace.
Using a sand storm and a cavern with traps, Mathayus kills 11 soldiers. He fights Thorak in the sand storm and stabs him mortally. Whereas the Akkadian fights and kills his last soldier, Thorak uses his last strength to stab Mathayus's right leg before die. But Mathayus is saved by Cassandra. Soon after, Mathayus finds Thorak's corpse and uses Thorak's falcon to send a message to Memnon with Thorak's necklace. Memnon is enraged by the death of his best ally.
