The French Captive was imprisoned in the Minotaur's Labyrinth. None is known about his history and origin. During Mathayus's address to the captives, he laughed with terror, at the thought of confronting the Minotaur. The captive's aftermath isn't disclosed. It is plausible that he either fled from Knossos or was recaptured by the Greek forces.
