“ | Horses are faster... | ” |
–Jesup about horses, The Scorpion King |
Horses were large four-footed mammals that were used as mounts, ridden by soldiers, travellers, heroes, villains and other people.
Horses were found in many countries around the world, including China and Egypt, and are often employed as mounts. While horses were fast-running animals, they could not run well on unstable terrain such as a desert. Horses were used by the French Foreign Legion as mounts for the Legion's officers, and were used by treasure-seekers as well. Horses ran faster than camels and so were used more frequently than the latter, but were once said to be less intelligent than camels by Mathayus.
