Magus was a devious sorcerer who praised the teachings of Anubis and Set and manipulated Mathayus into completing his plan to summon Set. He was the first known human to command the Army of Anubis. He used his sorcery to trick Mathayus into getting the Sword of Osiris for him so he could kill either Jesup or Rama for his sacrifice. As Magus got close to death from Mathayus, he thanked him for helping him complete his goal.
