Nick Morton is a mercenary and the main protagonist of the 2017 remake The Mummy. He is a former member of the United States Army who acted as a soldier-of-fortune with his friend Chris Vail. After accidentally releasing the Ancient Egyptian princess Ahmanet from her tomb following the Battle of Mosul, Ahmanet placed a curse on him and declared him her "chosen one" to be her human sacrifice to the Egyptian deity Set.
