In the year 3067 B.C, Mathayus III had reached Thebes with his men and had intended to fell the city in the 3067 B.C, conquering it as part of his empire; leading his men to attack Thebes, Mathayus fought with his troops against a number of soldiers of Thebes but they were finally defeat and wander off into the desert of Ahm Shere. Mathayus accepted his defeat quietly, with a sour, displeased look about him as he and his troops wandered on.
The Scorpion King, with his fallen soldiers replaced with the Army of Anubis itself, returns to Thebes and continues his siege, winning the city and killing many. Once the battle is ended, however, the Scorpion King's soul is taken to the Underworld, as is the Army of Anubis.
In the year 1290 B.C Thebes, known also as the City of the Living, is an ancient city in upper Egypt that was once the home of the Pharaoh Seti I and was the setting for the events of 1290 B.C, in which Seti was murdered by his high priest, Imhotep, and the Pharaoh's concubine, Anck-Su-Namun.
