The Thompson M1928 (A.K.A "The Chicago Typewriter" or "Tommy Gun") is a select-fire submachine gun designed and developed in the United States. It was manufactured by Auto-Ordinance and chambered in the popular .45 ACP ammunition.

In The Mummy Returns, the Thompson M1928 was seen in the arsenal of Richard O'Connell but he lent his to the Medjai known as Ardeth Bay who used it throughout the whole film as his primary weapon.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)

In The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the Thompson Submachine Gun was used by Rick during the skirmish at the gateway to Shangri-La. His unfortunately jams and then he uses it as a melee weapon.
